From Zero to Hero

Unfortunately, the excellence of the Muslim ummah did not last long. They faltered. Part of this was due to the negligence of the Muslims to heed Allah’s reminder. In the chapter al-Baqarah verse 152, Allah says, “Therefore remember Me, I will remember you and be grateful to Me and never be ungrateful to Me.” As regards to this verse, Imam Hasan al-Basri said, “Allah remembers with His compassion those who remember Him. God increases His endowments to those who are grateful, and God punishes those who are kufur (ungrateful).”

Vision Boosts the Spirit

The most successful visionary was Prophet Muhammad SAW. His vision was to establish Islam in this world by way of worshipping Allah. It is in line with the words of Allah in chapter az-Zariyat verse 56, “I did not create the jinn and the human beings except for the purpose that they should worship Me.” He was sure that when people change and submit themselves to God, the world will transform into a place of harmony and serenity.
