VISION • To become a premier non-government organization (NGO) to articulate Indian Muslims' views and their rights and unite them under one umbrella Federation
MISSION • To be recognized by the government as a legitimate body representing the Indian Muslims so that the government will pay attention to the views and concerns expressed by PERMIM
• To become a financially independent body with adequate resources and research facilities to envisage, organize, and carryout activities that aim to promote the religious, educational, economic, social and cultural well- being of its members
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Strengthen PERMIM organization with qualified and committed mix of professional and business people
• Create a cooperative environment within the community that could promote and enhance PERMIM's legitimacy and supremacy to represent the community
• Realize financial independence by either commercially developing own land in Kelana Jaya or swap with another property of the same
value to accommodate
its Headquarter and Educational Center there
• Develop and implement an effective communication with Branches and Affiliates
Management so that they remain active and relevant to deliver the expectations of
the community
• Promote opening up of more Branches in areas where there is a growing community and attract more individual members to join PERMIM via Direct Membership Association
• Inculcate in today's youth about Indian Muslim heritage and being proud of the
Ancestry
• Establish a "Think Tank" research institute to help PERMIM undertake research studies(census, rich poor gap, educational needs etc) for self help and to ask for government's assistance
• Develop and submit soundly researched memorandum to government on a periodic basis to express views and concerns of community on education, economic and religious matters and to build bridge with the government leaders
• Institutionalize the PERMIM Educational Fund Board into a national body dedicated to the advancement of higher education for the under privileged with sizeable annual grant from the government and community philanthropists
